The inaugural Goldenberg Mansion Art Series opened with Astig-Mata, a solo exhibition by acclaimed artist Ronald Ventura. Held on February 13, the one-day show featured ten paintings, two sculptures, and two signed and numbered prints (1–20 each). As part of Art Fair Philippines’ “10 Days of Art,” Astig-Mata offered a profound meditation on Filipino identity and visual perception. Bamboo, a symbol of Filipino resilience, emerged as a central motif. Ventura explored how we see ourselves and our nation — both through nostalgia and aspiration. Twenty-five percent of exhibit proceeds were donated to Fashion Aid Philippines in support of the country’s fashion and creative sectors.
